Hi di ho my friends!  It's day six of my Twelve Days of Christmas tags giveaway, we are halfway done already!  Hope that you have enjoyed the first five tags, if you missed any of my posts here are the links so you can go back and download the tags.

Today's tag hearkens back to Victorian times, this gorgeous image of a young girl with her puppy is from a Crafty Secrets Christmas CD.  There are two tag images for you to download, a PNG image that you can resize as you need for your projects and a printable sheet of JPG images, sized to print out on an 8 1/2" x 11" (A4) piece of cardstock.

I finished my December ATC for our Mixed Media Studio monthly swap and got it into the mail yesterday.  Usually we make two ATC's and send them to our swap partner but for this month, we were to make an ATC ornament and finish it front and back.  The theme was 'Black, White and Read All Over' and we were to use book paper and only the colours of black, white and red.  I decided to use the poem 'A Visit from St. Nicholas' (Clement Clark Moore, 1823) as my typography background.

I made the 'Merry Little Christmas' label on PicMonkey and then fussy cut the red cardinal image from one I found on The Graphics Fairy.  I mounted the cardinal on pop dots and made the ornament he is holding in his beak from fine gold wire, seed beads, sequins and a small red glass bead I had in my stash.  Some red glitter glue around the edge finished off this side.

For the other side of the ornament, I scanned the book page and then overlayed the Santa Claus and his sleigh image that I found on PicMonkey on top.  I then fussy cut the 'Visit With Santa-Claus' label from a Crafty Secrets Christmas CD and mounted it on pop dots.  Some more red glitter glue finished this side as well.  Hope that my swap partner will like it :O)

Thanks for stopping by again today and make sure that you come back for the next 6 days to get the rest of my Twelve Days Of Christmas hang tags.  Hope that it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in your neck of the woods!

  4. Another wonderful tag. I love the Victorian image.
Your ATC is great. I've never been very good at cutting out images to add to projects. I guess I just don't have the right scissors for it
