Blackbird Fly Mixed Media Hang Tag For A Vintage Journey

Hello everyone, popping in to let you know that I have a tutorial over on A Vintage Journey today for my Blackbird Fly hang tag.

It's our last stop on February's Destination Inspiration journey and this month our travel bags were filled with the following contents:

Product - Paint
Technique - Crackle
Colour - Black
Substrate - Tag

I used three different crackle techniques on my tag and incorporated that wonderful song lyric fragment from 'Blackbird', one of my favourites!  StencilGirl Products 'Black Birds In Trees' stencil was used on the background with Ranger Transparent Gloss Texture paste overtop Distress Crackle paint and I love how the crackle is still visible through the stenciled design.

Hope you'll be able to pop by for my how to, see you there!

  1. Really love this tag. It has given me the inspiration to make make a card similar and use some of tne words from tne Beatle's song, Blackbird. Thanks.

  2. Deb, I left you some love over at A Vintage Journey. You did an amazing job with this blackbird tag! The crackled bird on the crackled background with that super creative chalky look are just fabulous, and this is my newest favorite from you! Hugs!
