Spring Joy Mixed Media Reverse Canvas For Southern Ridge Trading Company

Hello and thanks for stopping by.  I have a tutorial over on Southern Ridge Trading Company's blog today for a mixed media reverse canvas created with Southern Ridge's Pussy Willows, Berry Branch, Bare Branches and Elegant Vintage Flourishes chipboard.

I had this reverse canvas lurking in my stash from a previous project that hadn't gone quite as planned and the butterfly background when combined with Southern Ridge's Pussy Willow chipboard immediately had me thinking of Spring (despite the feet of snow and frigid temperatures here in B.C.!).

For me the very best part of Spring is the return of the songbirds so I stamped up a wee robin coloured with alcohol inks on one of Tim Holtz's Fragments.

I've a step by step tutorial over on Southern Ridge's blog, hope you can pop by for me how to, see you there!

  1. Oh, S P R I N G !! When?? I am always looking forward to Spring right after Fall! I am not the winter type. Now here it is right on my screen. Perfect. I love those twigs with the buds on them. What a great job you’ve done with those. That sweet Robin fits into the scene so well. I love that paper (?) you’ve put around the frame...maybe you’ve stamped that area. A wonderful Spring canvas, Deb.

  2. I have been over to see your canvas Deb, it is beautiful, love the robin and the beautiful branches. Fingers crossed you have tempted Spring to visit us now! Hugs, Anne xx
