Christmas Greetings Gift Tags For Therm O Web

Hello everyone, hope this finds you well.  We are celebrating Christmas In August all this week over on Therm O Web's blog and I made a couple of Christmas gift tags for the occasion!

I used Therm O Web's Deco Foil Metallix Gel for the embossed tag backgrounds and added their Deco Foil Flock to both of the die cut sentiments.

Champagne Mist Metallix Gel was applied to the background of the 'peace' tag and embossed with Tim Holtz's Flourish Texture Fades embossing folder.

I die cut the frame with Gina K. Designs Large Oval dies, burnished on some Champagne Deco Foil and backed it with a piece of Tim Holtz's Christmas Paper Stash (not sure if this was from Yuletide or Tidings). The Vintage Tidings die cut was flocked with White Latte Deco Foil Flock and I offset another black die cut behind it for a shadow line.

Some Baubles were inked with Red Pepper Alcohol ink, greenery die cut with Tim's Mini Holiday Greens dies and piece of Gina K. Designs Sheer Satin Fancy Ribbon was inked with green Distress ink for the tag tie.

For the 'noel' tag I tried something new with the Deco Foil Metallix Gel.  I added two colours of Metallix, Glazed Pewter and Champagne Ice, applying a thin coat of each while they were both wet so that they combined.  I embossed this tag with Tim Holtz's Wood Planks Texture Fades embossing folder.

The corrugated oval was die cut with Gina K. Designs Large Oval dies again and the Vintage Tidings die cut flocked with Green Envy Deco Foil Flock, bumping a black die cut behind for a shadow line as before.

More Mini Holiday Greens were die cut, a few dots of Christmas Red Stickles Glitter Glue applied to one of the die cuts and a piece of Tim's Linen Ribbon was added for the tag tie.

Love the variegation when the two Metallix Gels are combined, will definitely be playing with this technique more!

I have a step by step tutorial over on Therm O Web's blog if you are interested, hope you can pop by to take a look and be sure to stop by Therm O Web's blog all this week for lots more Christmas inspiration from the Design Team!  Thanks as always for stopping by today and happy creating,

  1. These tags are gorgeous! I love all the layers and textures and glitz. These are keepers. They better not get thrown out with the papers!

  2. No... not the C-word!! I'm kidding - I'm in awe of anyone who can get their Christmas mojo on at this time of year, and these tags are wonderful - so full of texture to delight the fingertips as well as the eyes.
