Still At It - 100 Day Project Days 13 Through 22

Well have to say I'm surprising myself, it's now day 22 of #the100dayproject and I'm still at it!  Here's a quick recap of days 13 through 22, you can check out day 1 here, days 2 to 6 here and days 7 to 12 here :O)

Day 13

Finished the backside of the tag and tag pocket from day 12, used Abandoned Coral and Mermaid Lagoon Distress paint, those colours terrify me together (although I have to admit they make a rather effective faux rust effect on the tag pocket when used with Tim Holtz's Rusted Enamel technique!).  Tim's Flower Garden, Flutter butterfly and Wildflowers along with some Metallic Quotation Stickers and the stamped sentiment is his Phrases 2 Clear stamp set.

Day 14

A rice paper napkin decoupaged onto some kraft cardstock with stenciling through Tim's Mini Roses layering stencil and texture medium and collaged Ledger Script stamping.  Start of something, wasn't sure what at the time!

Day 15

Cut off a fragment of the collage from day 14 and adhered it into one of my small art journals.  Inking and splattering, outlined the flower with white gel pen, gold metallic paint onto the texture paste roses, a Flutter butterfly and sentiment from a Totally Tracy stamp set.

Day 16

Got the Ranger Gel Printing Plate that I'd ordered in the mail and had a BLAST playing!  Why oh why I waited so long to get a gel plate is beyond me, so much painty messy fun to make these gorgeous backgrounds and washi tapes 😍

Day 17

Had to use some of the gel plate prints that I'd made yesterday of course so collaged a bunch onto a painted/stamped background with some doodling and one of Tim's Phrases 2 sentiments that is so very true!

Day 18

Not much time to play today so I just cut out some handmade stencils and masks from cardstock for future gel plate printing fun!

Day 19

Was die cutting some random elements from the gel plate prints when this offcut caught my eye.  The white 'blobs' in the bottom right looked like flowers to me so I outlined them and the rest grew from there.  Watercolour background with the die cut negative adhered over top, ascemic writing, doodling and stamping.

Day 20

Another busy day so just die cut more shapes and elements from the gel plate printed papers for future art journal pages, I adore all of the colours and pattterns and textures!!

Day 21

One of the gel plate print offcuts from my die cutting (the spikey bit glued onto the bottom of the page) looked like a sun to me so I paired it with Tim's Rays stencil and his Feather and Ravens dies, cutting two ravens from a gel plate print and one of my photocopied backgrounds.  Tree Line stamping along the bottom edge and sentiment stamped with some wood block alphabet stamps.

Day 22

I loved this seed pod gel plate print so much (Paper Artsy's Secret Garden stencil by Lin Brown) that I had to show case it.  Painted and stamped background with ascemic writing and spatters, gel print adhered on top with doodling and printing.

So that's it for now, almost a quarter of the way through the 100 days now and have to say I'm enjoying the challenge of doing something each and every day.  Amazing what you can do when you set your mind to it, I'll have to see if this 'sticktoitness' can transfer over into other areas of my life (not holding my breath on that one though LOL!)  Have a great week everyone and happy creating!

  1. Deb, I have huge respect for your 'sticktoitness' attitude, I have a struggle doing one project a week, never mind one per day! Well done you! A lovely mix of projects. Hugs, Anne xx
